Turkayfe.org is the first social networking and national branding platform dedicated to promoting Turkey through the experiences of real people and community building. Turkayfe is a play on words including the word ‘Turk” and “Kayfe’ meaning a Turkish Coffeehouse.
In 1555,Turkish coffee houses were considered to be anchors of the community and Turkayfe.org continues this proud tradition into the 21st century.Through Turkayfe.org, contributors can share articles, photos, audio clips, videos, presentations, other personal experiences about Turkey. Turkayfe.org aims to integrate a full range of experiences of Turkish and foreign communities and provides more intimate and interactive conversations.
Cittaslow
Seferihisar in Izmir province is the first and only cittaslow town ( slowcity ) of Turkey. Municipalities which join the association are motivated by curios people of a recovered time, where man is still protagonist of the slow and healthy succession of seasons , respectful of citizens’ health , the authenticity of products and good food, rich of fascinating craft traditions of valuable works of art, squares, theaters, shops, cafés, restaurants, places of the spirit and unspoiled landscapes, characterized by spontaneity of religious rites, respect of traditions through the joy of a slow and quiet living.
Boytav - Bodrum Peninsula Promotion foundation
BOYTAV operates towards the aims explained below and aids to promote Bodrum, the touristic heaven. These ads and promotions are held especially to reveal the historic, cultural and touristic potential of Bodrum in and outside of Turkey. Books, films, videos, magazines and brochures are prepared in order to establish publicity. Attending both national and international fairs in order to introduce and promote the region's historic and touristic potential -thus increasing the amount of visiting tourists, is also another operation held by BOYTAV. In addition, organising commercial enterprises to increase the trust's revenue, seminars, sempoziums, congresses and workshops are some of the other entities that are conducted by BOYTAV, again to increase publicity and awareness towards Bodrum.
