Monte do Casal used to stand as an old manor house, today it has been transformed into a luxurious boutique hotel that has earned itself the title as being one of the ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World.’ Location wise the hotel sits in a beautiful preservation area close to the ancient village of Estoi, only 15 minutes from Faro Airport.

There are a total of 18 rooms including 6 suites, all of which are individually designed with meticulous attention to detail. Rooms contain mahagony furniture, fine cotton bed linen, a mini bar and bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries and ‘rainforest’ shower head.

In terms of technology rooms contain flat screen televisions with multinational channels (Sky, BBC 1, ITV), DVD players with a large selection of DVDs available from the hotel library, Radio and CD player and wireless internet connection in your rooms, on your terrace and throughout the rest of the hotel.

All the bedrooms have their own private terraces with sun loungers and breakfast is brought to your terrace table every morning for you to enjoy in your dressing gown!

The Monte do Casal restaurant is recommended by the Michelin guide and serves lunch and dinner daily. Degustation menus or an a la carte menu is available. A picturesque terrace overlooking the hotel´s lake provides the perfect setting for summer dining.

The Sanctuary Spa overlooking the lake offers guests massage and other tailored treatments to suit guests specific needs, treatments may take place in your room if you prefer. There are two outdoor heated swimming pools accompanied by two whirl pools and beneath the hotel is the first private botanical garden in the Algarve, containing two lakes and waterfalls that are lit up at night.
