Casa da Quinta is a large, recently renovated restaurant with a wonderful terrace for summer dining. Run by José Fernandes, his wife and two childen, Casa da Quinta promises to continue the tradition of excellent service, food and hospitality that the family has been offering in the Vale do Lobo area since the mid-nineties.
Casa da Quinta is set on a very generous plot of land near Almancil. There is a sweeping, landscaped entrance taking you up to the attractve main building and some lovely umbrella pinetrees surround the restaurant. Inside is spacious and bright, with a comfortable bar for pre- and post-dinner drinks. The garden terrace is large and is the perfect place for lazy summer meals.
Given this lovely, private setting, if you are thinking of getting married in Algarve, or holding a celebration or party, Casa da Quinta is a great venue. Bespoke menus can be arranged and the terrace BBQ and bar brought into action for a private party.
Casa da Quinta has a varied menu. There are international dishes as well as portuguese and Algarve dishes. You can opt for the local Catch of the Day, John Dory fillets, prawn curry, great steaks, Chateubriand or the simple but delicious chicken piri-piri. Special mention for the fantastic Cataplana Algarvia. Served in the traditional copper dish, the Cataplana is packed with goodies - halibut, stone-bass, clams and tiger prawns, all cooked is a fragrant tomato and herb sauce.
There is a good wine list, with a selection of local, national and international wines.
The Fernandes family has a great welcome for all their guests – many of whom have been dining at their restaurants for years. There is always time for a chat, to catch up on family news or to get the inside track on the local gossip.
