BJ's Oceanside is right on the beach at Praia de Almargem, at the western edge of the Golden Triangle. Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago are to the east, Vilamoura is to the west and right in front of you - the vast Atlantic. Backed by pine trees, with a natural lagoon to one side, it is hard to imagine a better setting. 

Perfect as the setting is, it's the atmosphere at BJs that is possibly its biggest attraction - relaxed, rustic chic and very welcoming. The mood is pure beach - sun on your shoulders, the sound of the ocean and chilled drinks to sip.

Slightly off the beaten track, BJs is popular with visiting celebrities, who enjoy the laid back atmosphere, families and groups love the beachside location and everyone loves Bex's dressing up box, with a wig or hat for every occasion!

The terraces at BJ's Oceanside overlook the ocean and beach and are perfect for either a long lunch or a romantic dinner. The two original terraces are slightly elevated above the beach. The new terrace, opened in 2020, brings that beachside dining experience even closer. It's a spacious wooden deck terrace that is on beach level and has those amazing sea views.

Open every day, you can enjoy some very good seafood and an excellent choice of wines. The fresh fish comes straight from the market each morning. A lunch of lightly grilled fish, served with a fresh salad and some chilled wine, while watching the waves break on the beach is pretty much everybody's idea of Algarve heaven.

The menu features a good selection of fish of the day, several prawn dishes as well as mussels and clams. There is also a choice of sirloin and fillet steak and pasta dishes, as well as vegetarian options and a snack menu that is served throughout the day.

As the day draws to a close, the terrace at BJ's Oceanside is the place of choice for an evening cocktail and to watch the daily miracle of the setting sun. At night the restaurant has the perfect romantic setting. In fact, the restaurant is a super celebration and wedding venue.
