In the evening you can watch the play of colours across the sky as the sun sets and the moon rises. The menu at Sandbanks features, obviously, plenty of fish and shellfish. You can opt for simple but delicious grilled fish or the very traditional Cataplana or Seafood Rice. The Fish and Seafood Platter is an excellent option. Vegetarians are not forgotten and meat lovers are also catered for with a choice of chicken and beef dishes. Dare I say it......better than Julia's!!!!

We used to really enjoy Julia's restaurant, which occupied this position on the Praca before the redevelopment. But Sandbanks is superb! Great for the kids and better for adults. Top quality food in relaxed and friendly surroundings. All fish is to die for. They've even got our youngest and fussiest eating crab!

Vale de Lobo is heaven! the perfect place for a holiday. the square by the beach is brilliant with plenty of music and entertainment. We particularly like Sandbanks, not just for the food, but because its practically on the beach and gets us straight into a holiday m.ood. Will be back in a few weeks
