Located in Almancil, the restaurant décor is warm and welcoming and creates that wonderful intimate ambience so characteristic of a bistro. Original artworks adorn the walls - the perfect foil for the works of art that come from the kitchen. Chef and owner, Irishman Jonnie Pratt has worked his magic in some of the Algarve's most reputable kitchens as well as several locations around the globe. He brings passion, enthusiasm and a love of good food, wine and conversation to Bistro des Z'Artes. Working to exacting standards of excellence, Jonnie and his team bring Good Mood Food to the table every time. Andy you can bring some to your table too - home-made Good Mood Food products can be bought at the restaurant. Delicious jams, hot piri-piri sauce, chutney, spicy rubs and sweet treats - a great gift idea. The menu at Bistro des Z’Artes is varied and imaginative and it changes frequently to take advantage of the best of the local fresh produce. Aside from the à la carte menu, you can choose “off the wall” – the huge blackboard of daily specials, each bursting with the freshest ingredients from the daily market. Each Friday and Saturday night you can enjoy a 6 course Seasonal Fresh Produce Tasting Menu for only €19,50 per person. This must be booked in advance. And every Monday night , Bistro des Z’Artes hosts the wonderful Irish Supper Club with a 6 course menu featuring chef Jonnie’s make-over of traditional Irish dishes. Just €20 per person including Irish Coffee. Food and art are not the only passions well served at Bistro des Z'Artes. The wine list is excellent featuring many wonderful Portugese and Algarve wines as well as international wines. The staff are more than capable of recommending a suitable wine to complement your meal. Bistro des Z’Artes is a welcoming, relaxing restaurant. It is perfect for an intmate dinner, for a business lunch, for a family gathering or celebration. As it is not large, reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment. The restaurant is only a short taxi ride away from Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago.
