 Belmondo OverviewRistorante Belmondo is a rather fine Italian restaurant stunningly located atop the cliffs at Senhora da Rocha, near to Armação de Pêra. Casual by day, gourmet and glamorous by night, with an impressive poolside and seaview location, Belmondo should be on your Algarve "must see" list.
Set next to the grounds of the Pestana Viking and Vila Vita Parc hotel the restaurant is surrounded by lush gardens and has the most amazing panoramic views. Belmondo restaurant is crescent in shape, curving around the perimeter of a large circular pool. Beyond the terrace and pool, there are trails that lead down to the picturesque beach and looking across to the cliff top chapel of Senhora da Rocha. The terrace is ideal for alfresco dining and appreciating the stunning sunsets.
Belmondo offers genuine Italian cuisine, specializing in dishes from Southern Tuscany. The food is prepared using traditional methods and some specially imported products. The day time menu is extensive including a wide array of pizzas and pastas as well as some excellent meat and fish dishes. In the evening, you choose from the à la carte menu with some creative gourmet dishes, beautifully presented. The wine list features some favourite Portuguese wines and a good selection of Italian wines.
Casual by day, in the evening, Belmondo brings on the glamour. Aside from the excellent service and hospitality of the restaurant (a hallmark of Belmondo) the terrace bar is perfect for sipping cocktails and champagne while enjoying some mellow sounds by the house DJ.
Belmondo is ideal for either winter or summer dining. Summer evenings at Belmondo are magical. And in the winter there is always a large fire burning in the lounge, ensuring a cosy welcome. Belmondo is perfect for a romantic meal and is a great venue for family get-togethers. |
