The Regional restaurants are some of the best to explore while on holiday in Algarve. There is no end to the variety of local dishes and each region has its own speciality. Olhao for example is famous for its fish and seafood dishes
Other areas of the Algarve like Monchique are worth visiting just for the food alone! From the local tavern serving presunto or 'pão com chouriço' (bread with sausage) or the famous chicken piri piri. Many of these restaurants are family run and dessert is not to be missed! Try the Doce Fino, mmmm!!!
