Train Information
The trains are a fabulous way to see the countryside. Alicante train station has high-speed links with many major Spanish cities. It takes just three hours to get to Madrid by train. The service is fast, clean and efficient. Check out the prices for first class travel. It is not as expensive as you think and you will enjoy a meal or snack plus drinks.

There is also a train linking Alicante and Denia although you need to change at Benidorm. It takes more than an hour just to get to Benidorm so it is not advisable if you are in a hurry. The journey from Denia to Benidorm is beautiful as the little train follows the coast for much of the way. It is a cheap way to travel through stunning scenery. Trains run every hour.
