Amsterdam was the first site outside England to have a Madame Tussauds museum, which was established in 1971. Since then, it has drawn huge crowds every year. Every tourist makes it a point to give Madame Tussauds Amsterdam a visit when he/she is in the city.

Madame Tussauds is a world-famous wax museum, which contains wax figures of real-life personalities from around the world. Started in the 1800's in England by Marie Grosholz, later known as Marie Tussaud, the Madame Tussauds museum has attracted tourists from the world over. The accurate depictions of celebrities, sports figures, world leaders, royals, cultural personalities and other renowned individuals has been a source of enjoyment to many since the exhibition was started.

What to do at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam

There's nothing a tourist loves more than standing with his/her favorite personality and getting a picture taken. So why not go for the next best thing. Visit the Madame Tussauds Museum, pose with celebrities and boast about it to your friends by showing them the pictures. Madame Tussauds Amsterdam has a large number of wax figures, from international personalities like Barack Obama, Lady Di, Edward Pattinson, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Albert Einstein, Ronaldinho and David Beckham to their very own Dutch personalities such as Freddy Heineken, Doutzen Kroes, Jan Smit and Majoor Bosshardt.
