Wooden tulips, blue-and-white Delftware in all shapes and sizes, Amsterdam city and football souvenirs, windmills, postcards, calendars, artwork replicas from Dutch Masters like Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh...the range of gifts is endless. Most things are priced at a slight premium, but the quality is so evidently superior to the street fare, that you don't mind paying a little extra for a classy gift to carry back to someone special.
Clog it!
The typical Dutch wooden shoes, called clogs, are available as souvenirs of various kinds around the city, but if you're looking for ones you can actually wear, the best collection in central Amsterdam is at Dam Square Souvenirs. Not only are there all sizes to choose from, but you can get them in various colours and patterns too.
Miffy, Heineken, and more
Dick Bruna's lovable bunny creation Nintje, known to the world as Miffy, has a special corner at Dam Souvenirs, and you can get a variety of Miffy-themes gifts for children and adults alike. If you're a Heineken fan, get your classic green merchandize at the Heineken corner of the store. IAmsterdam gifts in the city's traditional red-black-and-white combination are also available. You'd normally have to travel the length of Amsterdam to get all these items, but at Dam Souvenirs, they're waiting just a few steps away.
