    Latitude / Longitude: 52.37617, 4.89396

Our Locals' Tip: If you're a first-timer to Amsterdam or you are not so used to cycling, we recommend you go for the City Tour as the distance covered will be easier. Going by bike you'll really get the locals perspective, it's actually easier then walking as it's totally flat apart from one or two bridges.

Yellow Bike is just a couple of minutes away from Central Station, and is one of the best things to do if you wish to experience the delights of Amsterdam the way the Dutch do. You will have the option of choosing a city tour or a country side tour, both of which come with a well-trained and experienced guide. Yellow Bike also provide a bike rental service for those adventurous enough to go out on their own. The fact that it is the oldest bike tour company in Amsterdam gives it lots of credibility and experience.

City Tour

Let's start with the tours that Yellow Bike provides. First to the city tour which includes a ride-by of some of the city's highlights, like the Rijksmuseum, Jordaan quarter, Vondelpark, Anne Frank House, Skinny Bridge, the infamous Red Light District and Rembrandt's House. Also, the ride along the city's serene canals, cobbled streets and idyllic courtyards is truly an experience to be cherished. The tour duration is for 3 hours, including a rest of 20 minutes. Maximum group size is 12 persons per guide and the tour leaves at 10.30 1:30 am (for 2 hours) and 1.30 pm (for 3 hours) every day. The starting point is Nieuwezijds Kolk 29, which is a 3 minute walk from Central Station.

Countryside Tour

Next is the Countryside tour, which is for first-timers and regulars alike. The 35 km tour through Amsterdam's scenic Waterland District is replete with picturesque villages, lush green pastures and rustic landscapes and tales of historical events and folklore, told by a knowledgeable guide who rides with you. The tour duration is 4 hours, which includes a lunch break of 45 minutes (lunch is not included in the price). Maximum group size per guide is 15 people and the tour departure time can be arranged through consultation with the company. The starting point is the same as for City Tours.
