Ocean Reef Suites Barbados

Having lived in 10 crountries the last 15 years we now live at Ocean Reef since October 2011, it has been an exceptional experience, very well maintained and beautifully decorated suites, incredible views of the sea and the nearby Gap and beach. Turtles and stingrays passing in front of our terrace on a daily basis make up for the bit too small parking garage. All in all an incredible great place to live and conveniently located close to supermarkets, restaurants, bars and only a 15 minute drive away from the airport.

I just finished a nine-month stay at Ocean Reef in Barbados, and it was an unforgettable experience. The apartments at Ocean Reef are new, modern, spacious, and furnished with top of the line appointments, including WiFi. For example, the towels are awesome: large and soft. Ocean Reef's location is ideal, close to excellent restaurants, nightlife in St. Lawrence Gap, dry cleaners, grocery store, shoe repair, and so on. I rarely needed a car. It was trivial to catch public transportation and taxis any time I needed to go somewhere on the island. My apartment was on the third floor, and I had a gorgeous view of the Caribbean and St. Lawrence Bay. Worthing Beach is a five minute walk from Ocean Reef and never crowded. Several beachfront bars are nearby for hanging out on lazy afternoons and sunsets with tourists and locals alike. Scuba diving, snorkeling, and Ocean Reef's kayaks are available literally from the back steps at Ocean Reef. Chris and Stacey, the proprietors of Ocean Reef, are super-nice people, and they keep Ocean Reef fully functional and spotless. They also became my good friends, whom I will see again in the future. I can't imagine a nicer property on Barbados for a truly special Caribbean experience.

My family and I spent a marvelous week in January staying with friends who have an Apartment at Ocean Reef in Worthing; not too far from The Gap. The location on the Lagoon and the palm-fringed beach is just like you see in the brochures. Magic. Except it's for real.!!! We could not believe the number of turtles, rays and tropical fish. Walking out to the reef and kayaking in the crystal clear water was truly unforgettable. The view from the apartment was breathtaking......ever- changing and gorgeous. Even the bathrooms and kitchens have a view of the ocean! Amazing. Lovely contemporary furniture and modern design. Ocean Reef presently only do long term rentals from three months up, but I understand they are going to start doing vacation rentals. We just absolutely love Barbados. Ocean Reef at the end of Worthing Beach could not be in a better spot. We wished we could have stayed longer.
