Barbados is just 13 degrees north of the equator so the effects of the sun's rays are more intense here. It is advisable to apply sunscreen to all exposed areas. Tan up until about 10 am and in the afternoon after 2pm, avoiding the intense midday sun. Remember to condition your hair if you are swimming in chlorinated swimming pools.
