August 2011 I would NOT recommend cometobarcelona!
Erika from Sweden
I tried different rentalfirms ( 5 times) and they have all been nice. All but one!
WARNING!! Dont use cometobarcelona. They have been rude and not easy to communicate with from the start! I noticed in my first conntact, but liked the apartment so rented anyway. They gave me the wrong apartment at first. So we had to walk around with our bags for 30 minutes, and then go back to the office. She (Reb***a), did not even apologize! But sent us out again alone. The other firms has followed you to the apartment! And now, 4 weeks after my visit, they wont pay me back my deposit money. I contacted them several times, and they say that it has been done. But they cannot send me any confirmation. And, no money... (150 euro).
The manager (E*a) seemed to be nice. Always nice in her mails, but she does not help!

June 2011 Außen hui, innen pfui
Jean Philip Zimmermann from Hamburg

April 2011 Almost ideal
Peter Larrad from Manchester
We stayed in a 2 bed apartment at 85 Carrer del Mar in Barceloneta. The only complaints I have are minor in themselves, but there were a few which just takes the edge off an otherwise perfect holiday. 1. We went to get the keys from the office on Las Ramblas to be told we needed to go to the office in Barceloneta. This was despite me asking a week previously if we could get the keys in Barceloneta as it would have saved us a second bus journey & a fair walk (with suitcases!). 2. Whilst the furniture in the apartment is new there's a few details which have been missed : no shower curtain so the shower room floor gets flooded, the shower head is fixed very well to the wall, the shower room door doesn't close properly, the kitchen tap is fixed very well & wobbles, the toilet is very cramped & the toilet door doesn't close properly (you have to hold it closed for privacy), and the door handle fell off the smaller bedroom door, trapping my daughter inside - just as well she wasn't there alone. 3. I couldn't get the main bedroom lights to go completely off, there was a persistent, if gentle, glow all night. One of the bulbs was out (thankfully!)
To balance that, the staff at both offices were friendly & helpful and spoke English far better than my rather poor Spanish. The apartment was clean & tidy, really is 5 minutes walk from the beach, 10 minutes from the metro (only 15 minutes walk from Las Ramblas to be honest. Well, maybe 20!)
Would I use this agency again & would I recommend them? Yes to both. A word of advice to anyone going to Barcelona - it's expensive. Expect to pay about £15 per head for paella. A lot of money for a few bits of seafood & rice. Oh, and take a phrase book for Catalan, not just (Castellano) Spanish. I'd have found one helpful.
