Montjuïc Funicular

If you want to get up to Montjuïc for a bird’s eye view of Barcelona, the Montjuïc Funicular is the easiest way to do so! As well as the fantastic scenery Montjuïc provides, there is also the Olympic Park of 1992, the Palau Nacional and MNAC Gallery to enjoy! Not to mention the famous music venue the ‘Palau Sant Jordi’ and the Joan Miró Foundation!

You can access the Montjuïc Funicular at Paral-lel Metro station which is on L2 & L3. A ticket to ride costs the same amount as a single journey ticket on a Bus or Metro journey. If you have a multi-use ticket, you may also use this here! Single journey tickets may be purchased inside Paral-lel Metro Station.

The Montjuïc Funicular is the most time-efficient method of reaching Montjuïc yet if you prefer the scenic route and a lovely walk, you should head to Placa d’Espanya using the Metro and walk up from there. It takes around ten minutes to get up the hill, yet a lot of it is serviced by outdoor escalators. Just head for the beautiful Palau Nacional (National Palace).
