After being teased at her Northern Irish school about her inexplicably English accent, Alanna decided to flee to university in ‘the mainland’ where she could blend in with ease. Since graduating and a brief obligatory spell ‘finding herself’ abroad, she is now based in London where she works scraping the money together for her next voyage; one which she hopes will involve lots of mountains and empanadas, please.
