A destination that springs to mind the second you imagine a sudden windfall or landmark celebration will undoubtedly encompass at least three of the following: blue skies, pristine surroundings, picture-postcard views, exclusivity (by that I mean you will be the only human life form there) and more culture, charm and authenticity you can shake your Canon Digital SLR at.
Well, my list is long when it comes to fantasy destinations. Some I’ve still yet to convert to reality (holding out for that lottery win) however, one more has at least now surrendered its shores to my curiosity.
Admittedly, I didn’t visit Faliraki or Malia (where I fear my illusions may have been shattered along with my serenity) however, I still firmly believe, despite these visible distractions, Greece is as alluring as I’d imagined. Lindos in Rhodes I salute you.
