With a regular selection of excellent entrees the Grand Opera Cafe also has a economical fixed lunch menu for 15.50 €.
The Grand Opera is an outstanding example of Bordeaux architecture In the centre of the city and is the leading performancing arts venue. A restaurant surrounded by Bordeaux culture and history plus good food, made this restaurant one of the best introductions to the city for us. During the summer we've also enjoyed the terrace beside the Opera Cafe for a full meal or just lingered over coffee or champagne.
You'll enjoy live jazz piano from 16:00 to 18:00h on Saturdays and Sundays at the Cafe in the winter.

July 2011 Grand Theatre Cafe in Bordeaux a real lunch find!

Great find! We just stumbled on the Cafe as part of the Grand Theatre after shopping to the end of Saint Catherine's street and needed a good break. The lunch menu was delicious and super value. Such a treat to relax, sit down and really enjoy the atmosphere of this landmark in the heart of the city. We went back in the evening, had dinner and took in a fabulous performance. Would highly recommend.
