Museum of Vancouver

The history of the Museum of Vancouver dates back to 1894 when a group of visionaries formed the Art, Historical and Scientific Association. Now, to reflect its new vision with its focus on Vancouver, it changed its name in 2009 from Vancouver Museum to the Museum of Vancouver. MOV's vision as an urban museum is to inspire inquiry into the City and interpret, present and archive the evolution and transformation of Vancouver.

The Museum's general opening hours Monday to Sunday are from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and on Thursdays from 10:00am to 8:00pm. From September to June, MOV is closed on Mondays.
