TLH Heliskiing Overview

Based at Tyax Wilderness Resort & Spa in the Chilcotin Mountains, TLH Heliskiing boasts world-class heli-skiing and heli-snowboarding packages for excursions in BC's renown back-country terrain of untracked dry, fluffy powder. With TLH, skiers can expect the ultimate in adventure decadence with over 830,000 acres, more than 350 runs and copious amount of champagne powder. Most runs begin on alpine glaciers and bowls, and carry on past the tree line, through snow covered old-growth forest towards the valley bottom. With no limits on vertical footage, guests can easily ski over 50,000 vertical metres in a week. TLH Heliskiing operates only single groups for each helicopter, meaning parties never have to wait more than a few minutes to be picked up for the next drop spot.

TLH Heliskiing offers 10 all-inclusive packages available in a variety of itineraries and lengths (2-7 days) catering to individuals and groups with accommodation and gourmet meals, as well as those in search of a shorter trip due to time or affordability. As an example, the 7 Day Tour run from Friday to Friday, and includes unlimited vertical with an average of 10-15 runs per day, accommodation at Tyax Wilderness Resort & Spa and use of all its facilities, gourmet dining (breakfast, picnic lunch and buffet dinner), K2 powder skis, all appropriate safety equipment, and return ground transfers from Vancouver or Whistler. Other itineraries such as the Whistler Combo Tour includes three days of TLH heli-skiing and three days at Whistler Blackcomb and accommodation at both Tyax Resort and Whistler with several customization options for add-on activities. For those desiring something even more exclusive, enjoy a Private Platinum Tour: private helicopter, two ski guides, a week of heli-skiing, and lodging in the fully staffed private Spirit Bear Chalet––meals prepared by the private chef, of course––along with a personal massage therapist and $1,000 in complimentary alcoholic beverages.

Other tour packages available include the Weekend Heli Escape, Small Group packages, Women's Retreat, Ski Touring, and the ultimate "Steep Week" challenge. All backcountry heli-skiing packages with TLH include transportation to and from Vancouver or Whistler.

All heli-skiing and snowboarding runs are led by certified ACMG guides who have all necessary safety training plus the added knowledge of the very best routes. Guests on all TLH tours will be instructed about emergency and avalanche procedures and equipped with appropriate protective gear.
