Houseboat Rentals & Vacations:

Waterway's Houseboats are available in a variety of options and features to accommodate groups of 2-30 people. For those unfamiliar with houseboats, picture a square-shaped yacht with the amenities of a hotel suite. This typically includes hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, wifi, TV, DVD player, barbeque, filtered water, and private staterooms, plus additional features like fireplace, washer/dryer, wet bar and satellite dish available on certain vessels. All boats are equipped with child safety rails and undergo a 200-point inspection to ensure quality standards are met. Guests captain their own boats––after a thorough orientation upon arrival––which travel leisurely at a top speed of 7 miles an hour. A valid car driver's license is required to captain the vessel; the company also recommends obtaining a Pleasure Craft Operator card, a basic course which is available online. Prime houseboating season runs from mid-May to mid-September, with peak times in July and August months.

Waterway Activity Centre Recreation Rentals & Mountain Biking Tours:

Offering a range of fun watersport equipment, the new Activity Centre Recreation Rentals has an extensive selection from sport boats and canoes to sea-doos and paddle boards available either for hourly, day or weekly rentals. In addition skis, tubes, wakeboards and kneeboards are obtainable for an ultimate lake experience.

With the superb biking options and mapped trails at Shuswap, mountain bikes are also available for rent. If guests don’t wish to go on their own, guided tours for groups can be just the adventure to explore by bike, as well as Skills Clinics to learn or brush up trail riding techniques.

Shuswap Lake and the town of Sicamous are located about halfway between Calgary AB and Vancouver BC. The famed lake boasts over 1000 km of shoreline which offers everything for every type of traveller: beaches, provincial parks, mountain bike trails, hiking trails, waterfalls, historical and archaeological sites, golf courses, whitewater rafting, and of course, every type of restaurant. On-water activities are obviously never far away, with activities like parasailing, jet skiing, water skiing, tubing, scuba diving, and fishing, all within easy reach.
