![]() SkyTrek Adventure Park OverviewPlenty of treetop thrills await children and adults alike at SkyTrek Adventure Park, located in an old-growth forest in the Monashee Mountains near Revelstoke. For families looking for something a little more exciting than a hike, try navigating a suspended obstacle course four stories above the ground... or skateboarding from tree to tree! This all-in-one adventure park includes High Ropes Challenge Courses, Kids Tree Adventures, Jungle Gym, and an Adventure Tower.
The High Ropes Challenge Courses invite guests to test their stamina–– and bravery––by navigating a series of ladders, nets, swinging logs, zip lines, and suspension bridges through the forest treetops. The rope courses are designed for youth and adults (there are minimum height restrictions) and range in difficulty. Guests are encouraged to explore within their comfort zone. All courses are designed safely using arborist-approved trees, with respect and sensitivity for the ecology of the forest.
The 12 metre (39 feet) high Adventure Tower hosts several nerve-racking apparatus, including a pendulum swing (single or double), Sky Drop (free-falling from a 12 metre platform before being saved at the last minute by a safety harness), 12-route Climbing Wall, and a series of swinging logs for climbing. The Adventure Tower is subject to weight requirements, but is generally appropriate for anyone over age 6, and can accommodate those with limited time to enjoy the whole park.
The Kids Tree Adventure hoists little ones age five and over 1.8 to 3 metres (6-10 feet) off the ground (helmet-ed and clipped snugly into a safety harness, of course) to explore the forest on an exciting and child-oriented course. The Kids Jungle Gym is created especially for smaller children (age 2 and over), featuring a spider net, mini-zipline, and plenty of colourful bridges and huts to explore.
SkyTrek Adventure Park's amenities include parking for buses and RVs, gift shop and snack shop, washrooms, and a picnic area. The park operates seasonally from May-October, 7 days a week. Reservations are not accepted during July and August or on weekends, but are required on weekdays throughout the rest of the season.
