High Rush at Kicking Horse: Minimum Age 16 Years

The ‘Challenge’ and ‘Ultimate’ action-packed options in Golden are the definitive white water rafting trips for adrenaline junkies and first-time rafters. The full-day Challenge Trip along the entire Kicking Horse River includes a riverside BBQ lunch following a scenic float start, and ending with an afternoon of exciting Class 3 and 4 white water rapids and wave action. The afternoon Ultimate Trip is ideal for those with limited time seeking non-stop adrenaline fun with rides through several sections of continuous Class 3 and 4 rapids before a final relaxing float into the town of Golden.

Kicking Horse Adventures: Minimum Age 14 Years

The Classic Trip in Golden is a perfect full-day adventure for families at intermediate level but with no less thrills and fun. Starting with a scenic float, then mid-day break for a delicious riverside BBQ lunch before hitting an active kilometre long stretch known as the 'Portage and Shotgun’ for fun Class 3 rafting action and Class 4 adventure rides to home base. For a quick rush for those with limited time in their schedule the Express Trip affords an enjoyable, thrilling ride which will ensure memories of excitement on the Kicking Horse River.

Exciting Fun at Golden & Fairmont: Younger Families

For young families with children 12 years and younger, the Scenic Float Trips available at both Golden and Fairmont are designed to provide an enjoyable ride meandering down the river and often with the opportunity to view wildlife along the riverbanks. The Fairmont Scenic Float through the Columbia River Wetlands is a bird watchers delight. The family-orientated Toby Creek Trip at Fairmont Hot Springs is 1.5 hour of whitewater fun splashing through the Purcell Mountains.

Safety is paramount at Glacier Raft Company, and all river rafting equipment is provided, including wetsuits, helmets and life jackets. Trips are limited to 8 persons per raft and are accompanied by fully qualified and knowledgeable guides.
