Taxi and Limousine

While getting around the City of Vancouver and Victoria is easily done by walking there may be times you need a taxi or perhaps require a more exclusive chauffeured limousine service.

Taxis are commonly available in Vancouver and Victoria as in most major cities, and generally accept credit card as well as cash payments. If credit card payment is necessary for your transaction do check with the cab driver before starting your journey. Taxis have a standard metering system which increases by distance and traffic situations in the area. Subject to traffic conditions a taxi trip from downtown Vancouver to the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond (and vice versa) could cost in the range of $30 to $35 Canadian dollars. A taxi trip between Victoria International Airport and downtown Victoria would be in the range of $55 to $60 Canadian dollars. Taxi firms in British Columbia are independently managed, and regulated by the Passenger Transportation Board.

Limousine companies may provide luxury and VIP service and should be booked ahead of time. Services are customized and include a choice of vehicles from executive sedans, SUV limousines, luxury passenger vans and stretched limos.
