Our Local Experts say:
One thing Cairns doesn't lack is places to eat. From Cordon Bleu to 'Pie & chips', every taste and budget is catered for. An extensive variety of 'ethnic' flavours is there for the adventurous or the home-sick to indulge.
Whether using tongs to turn the snags on the Council provided free Barbeques on the waterfront or sipping cocktails and nibbling prawns at the Salthouse on the point; it's terrific under a tropical moon on a warm tropical evening with the tidal sounds as background music. Trying some indigenous flavours is a "must do".
