![]() JW Marriott Cairo OverviewThe JW Marriott Cairo hotel is a large terraced building and resort located in the Heliopolis district of Cairo. This five-star luxury resort includes a 27-hole championship golf course, a “Beach” water park, and a spa. The hotel welcomes business travelers and vacationers, with a convenient location and many amenities, including very extensive meeting space. There are special attractions for children, including a nearby water park. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the Cairo International Airport. JW Marriott Cairo Rooms: The hotel has 357 air-conditioned rooms and suites, which are cleaned twice a day. The rooms have balconies with views of the golf course or the beach (water park). The furnishings include a desk, and the rooms have high-speed internet and three telephones. The marble-tiled bathrooms have a bathtub and separate shower and a bidet, and are furnished with bathrobes, slippers, a lighted makeup mirror, and a hair dryer. Guests can make their own morning tea and coffee, and there is a mini-bar or small refrigerator. The rooms also have safe deposit boxes, irons and ironing boards. The televisions have satellite and international cable programming. The standard guest rooms have a terrace with direct access to the pool. The slightly larger Deluxe rooms are furnished with a king-sized bed or two double beds, with a balcony and a sitting area. The hotel’s Tatami Rooms face the golf course and have features similar to those in the Deluxe Rooms; their bathrooms have a Japanese soaking tub. A Junior Suite has a king-sized bed and a larger sitting area with a sofa, with views of the beach or the golf course. The Executive Suites have a large living room and a bedroom with a king-sized bed; they overlook the golf course. There are one-bedroom Bi-Level Suites, with a living area on a separate level and two balconies overlooking the golf course. The Diplomatic Suites have a separate bedroom (with a king-sized bed), living and dining room, and also overlook the golf course. For the most luxurious accommodations, the Presidential Suite has one bedroom with a king-sized bed and a walk-in closet, a study, living and dining rooms, and two balconies with views of the golf course. Rollaway beds and cribs are available. There are rooms designed to be accessible to guests with physical disabilities, including some with roll-in showers. There is an evening turndown service.
Guests can also choose guest rooms with access to the Executive Lounge, which provides complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and an evening happy hour with alcoholic beverages. The lounge has a private business centre (fees may apply). Children are not permitted in the lounge after breakfast hours. All of the guests in the suites enjoy access to the Executive Lounge. JW Marriott Cairo Restaurants & Bars: There are more than a dozen restaurants and bars at the resort. JW’s Steakhouse serves only dinner, featuring steak and lobster; children must be age seven or above. Diners here, as well as Castle Club members, can enjoy whisky and cigars in the Havana Just Cigars Lounge. The Ahlein restaurant serves Lebanese cuisine in a beautiful setting with carved stone walls and wrought iron gates, and a shisha lounge. Cucina is a casual Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner, with live guitar music. The small adjacent La Piazza restaurant is open on Thursday and Friday evenings for dinner, under a ceiling painted with blue skies and soft clouds. The Sushi Bar features Japanese dinners. Lemongrass is an indoor/outdoor restaurant with an extensive East Asian menu. The 24-hour Mirage Café serves a buffet breakfast and dinner, and also has an a la carte menu. Its marble-floored dining room overlooks the golf course. The View Lounge & Bar is also open 24 hours a day, with daily live music and a light menu, accompanied by cocktails in an elegant setting. La Patisserie serves sandwiches, coffee, and pastries. In summer, the Lake Promenade features an outdoor barbeque menu, with cocktails and shisha pipes, while the Beach Restaurant has a poolside menu of burgers, pizza, and lighter fare.
The Zerzara Discotheque and Lounge Bar is a relaxing, romantic setting, with a light meal and alcoholic drinks. The Cactus Bar in the golf clubhouse has billiard tables and televisions, with an American menu. The private wood-paneled Churchill’s Lounge must be booked in advance for private parties. JW Marriott Cairo Facilities: A concierge desk can help with sightseeing and travel arrangements. There is a cash machine at the hotel, and guests can exchange currency. The Beach Water Park has several swimming pools and children’s activities. There is also a heated swimming pool and sauna on site, and a kid’s club. There is a fitness centre, a jogging trail, tennis and volleyball courts, and a rock-climbing wall. The Mandara Spa offers a variety of health and beauty services. There is a barber and a beauty salon. The hotel has a bookstore, a gift shop and a florist. There is a barbeque/picnic area for guests, and a game room with video games. The hotel provides free bus service to downtown Cairo and to the Citystars shopping and entertainment complex. Babysitting is available upon request. There is an on-site laundry service and valet dry-cleaning. High-speed wireless internet access is provided in the hotel’s public spaces and 29 meeting rooms. The largest meeting room can hold 2,262 people, and can also he used for an exhibition space. The staff can help plan business meetings and social events, including weddings. There is a full-service business centre, and translation and secretarial services are available. Pets are not allowed at the hotel, except for service animals. The hotel has a limousine service, and guests can rent cars through the hotel. Parking is available on-site for a daily fee. |
