
	Montagu Vines Guest House Overview Montagu Vines is situated in the historic town of Montagu. The guest house offers accommodation from a lovingly preserved historic Victorian Karoo farm with a small vineyard that is on the property. The vineyards and the mountains and the river form the backdrop for a really relaxing stay. The garden rooms overlook Montagu Vines own wine-producing vineyard. Guests can relax in the cosy farm lounge with a book from the library or in the splash pool or even under the old oak trees. (There are resident owls in the oak tree.) A full breakfast is served in the main farmhouse. In season fresh fruit is served. There is a buffet of yoghurt, homemade muesli and cereals, cold meats, cheese, freshly baked rolls and croissants, fresh fruit juice. A cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms follows. Montagu Vines Guest House Rooms: Montagu Vines offers 5 garden rooms and 2 rooms in the main farmhouse The garden rooms each have en-suite facilities, a verandah overlooking the vineyard and a fireplace. The 2 rooms in the main farmhouse also have en-suite facilities and their own patios. All rooms at Montagu Vines have TV, heated towel rails, hair driers, tea and coffee, fresh fruit and a complimentary carafe of Beverley Dawn Chenin Blanc - wine produced from the grapes of the Montagu Vines vineyard. Please note that smoking is only permitted outdoors and children should be over 12 years of age. Montagu Vines Guest House Facilities: Montagu Vines is a short walk from the centre of Montagu. There are restaurants, bistros, historic churches and tranquil gardens to explore. “Lovers Walk” is a historic footpath that passes the vineyard of Montagu Vines. It was recently washed away in a massive flood. The towns people have restored it.
