
	Excelsior Manor Overview Excelsior Manor Guesthouse offers accommodation in Robertson in the Breede River Wine Valley. It’s a grand home harking back to the Victorian times when spacious lawns and manicured gardens surrounded Cape Dutch Gabled Manor houses with their large fireplaces and high ceilings. This farm was once an affluent ostrich feather farm. Robertson is about 160 kilomteres from Cape Town and was once on the old trading route to Port Elizabeth from Cape Town. Today Excelsior Manor House sports nine wonderfully spacious 4 star en-suite bedrooms, which are named after famous race horses that were bred at Excelsior. There is a gorgeous swimming pool to dip into on the hot summer days. The elevated and secluded deck offers a breathtaking view of vineyards, and the mountains in the distance. The vineyards have been hand harvested for 5 generations. The main wines produced on the farm are Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Excelsior Manor Facilities: Breakfast is served each morning and dinner in the magnificent dining room can be enjoyed on request. In Robertson there are a number of delicious restaurants and nearby Montagu offers a few more options too. Guests at Excelsior Manor will also have the privilege of a private wine tasting of the Excelsior range of wines - as well as some wines from their private collection. Excelsior offers a Cellar tour to their guets who are invited to fill their own bottle of wine and cork it too. Guests are invited to enjoy a sunset from the hills by taking a golf cart to view the valley.
