
	Skylight Bar Overview The unremarkable entrance doorway hides a hidden gem. Skylight bar is situated on Rua 1 de Junho. The two flights of stairs are well worth climbing to reach this open air rooftop bar. The red twinkling lights of the bar creates a romantic and unique atmosphere. Of course the real beauty lies in the access to the evening sky especially when the moon is full. Skylight bar is comfortably furnished with piles of red and black cushions, built into cosy seating areas. The bar truly has an international clientele which is reflected in the nationality of the musicians. Live music is at the weekends, with traditional Cape Verdean and international musicians. Don't miss the famous Reggae night which is one of our many highlights. Sunday night is a more chilled out affair, join us for movie night and why not order a pizza to enjoy, while you watch the latest release. Andy the manager and head barman, Helder, will make you feel very welcome. Skylight bar is open every day from 6pm until late. We offer a great selection of drinks. Choose from our speciality Caiprinha menu with different flavours giving Cape Verdes national cocktail a unique twist. Happy Hours are at sunset and also midnight offering exceptional value. Visitors have described Skylight Bar as having a great relaxing, chilled out atmosphere and that it is a very romantic setting. Unseen from street level it provides a bit more seclusion than other places. Very nice place to go and relax have a couple of drinks, and conversate. Different kind of music at clients request. The best thing is where is located up on the rooftop where you can see the beach and the sky, stars and moon very beautiful. They vary from day to day from dance classes to live music and even movie nights where you can bring take out lay back and enjoy your movie.

A fabulous rooftop surprise...

You can easily miss the door to this wonderfully positioned rooftop bar, it's just past the town square, keep moving up the main street until you see the neon treble clef on the side of the building! Really chilled environment with cozy cushions and lighting and a view straight to the stars.... very romantic... They have a good selection of drinks, the barman is a great character and plays great music, you can also see live music a couple of times per week. Don't miss it on your holiday, especially if you want proper music and not boom boom disco stuff...

A hidden gem

A hidden gem, few tourists find and certainly to be included in any evening out. Best on island for a cheeky early drink ? the earliest happy hour at 3:30 & 6pm & also fab later in the evening for live music fans. Intimate setting with friendly staff and good service. Perfect in summer ? outside with a cooling much needed refreshing breeze. Enjoy, you won't be disappointed.
