 C.V.Screens OverviewHello my name is Colin Wilcock, I have been coming to Sal along with my wife Teresa for the last three years and we have noticed a lot of changes mostly good ones. We decided to move permanently to Cape Verde in March 2010 and have started C.V. Screens a company installing quality cassette roller fly screens. The one thing that has got worse over the years is the increase of the fly and mosquito population, especially in August and September, this is because more rain has fallen on Sal in recent years meaning better breeding conditions. Good for the flies and mosquitoes but not good for anybody else.

Unique Brake System
All of our fly screens include the unique inertia brake. When the screen is released the brake allows the screen to retract smoothly back into the cassette without slamming.

FAQs: What is a cassette roller fly screen? Cassette Roller Fly Screens are the most practical and versatile on the market today. They comprise of a silver grey fiber glass insect screen mesh fixed to an aluminum Center Tube and to an aluminum Sliding Bar. Handles on the sliding bar are used to pull the screen out of the cassette. The screen is tensioned by a spring mechanism and so upon release it returns to the Cassette, winding itself onto the Center Tube ready for use again, safely hidden out of sight and harm’s way.
What does it do for me? If you are a Cassette Roller Fly Screen USER, it gives you complete and stylish protection from insects without compromising the function of your door or window, allowing in ventilation and light BUT keeping insects at bay. No need to keep fitting and removing screens when you need them ¬– simply pull the Fly Screen from it’s neat Cassette and it’s ready for use.
Where can it be installed? Our Roller Fly Screen is the only system which can be installed quickly on any existing frame. Our retractable Screens are suitable for Domestic and Commercial applications. They can generally be used for pulling down vertically in window spaces or pulling across horizontally in door spaces and can be fitted internally or externally as required.
Finally, what makes the retractable cassette roller fly screen so unique? The answer lies in the heart of each System, the Centre Tube, patented inertia brake and the Screen. All are engineered to perfection. The revolutionary brake is unique to this System and allows smooth recoil of the Screen back into the cassette, preventing slamming and potential damage of the Screen. A real must have in CV. Saves so much on the aircon which is so expensive. You easily recoup the money spent on the screens by not having to use the aircon. Quick service, quality product, easy to contact. Best purchase you can make for your property. Much better than slightly cheaper, inferior options.

August 2011 Ban those unwelcome insect pests from your personal space

Thank you Colin for your courteous and efficient service in fitting of insects nets to my two bed apartment, was great to sleep with the windows open without being disturbed by mosquitoes or insects and to use the natural wind to keep the apartment cool instead of the air conditioning. Four balcony doors and two bed windows all fitted in four hours. I can highly recommend your customer service and product.

Can only echo other peoples comments about Colins professional attitude which contributes to the way he has to almost tailor make the screens for every job. My apartment patio door was anything but square and it took him ages to get the screens right but he did. I can assure you that some months of the year you will be glad you had the screens fitted.

Colin has done a fantastic job with regards to our screens as we had one very big door (the biggest one he had come across so far) and was not too sure how to proceed. We had to come home and left it all in Colin's capable hands on our return we had all the lovely screens fixed and exactly how we wanted them to be even the big one. Everything in Sal takes so long to get sorted out or done !
I was talking to Dave at Bailys Bar and he intruduced me to colin,
we spoke about the Fly screens and Colin made an appointnment to come and measure & price up my two bed apartment at Sedum Villa Verde 4pm that same day, he turned up on time, after measuring and pricing the job he booked into fit the screens two days later at 10am low and behold he was there 10am on the dot !
