Best authentic food on the Island !!

We spent two weeks in Santa Maria, beautiful Island with lovely beaches, although the best food was the authentic Indian cuisine of the bombay Brasserie near to hotel Morabezza. Lovely warm ambience, authentic Indian surroundings and very friendly hosts, makes you feel at home within 5 minutes of being seated. Here you get the real taste of India without a compromise. !! The prices are very reasonable, good value for money. You must taste their Biriyani or even more their lamb from the Tandoor oven, it is delicious. We are from Austria (Vienna) where there are various Indian restaurants but nothing comparable. !! If you visit Sal and you are like Indian food it will be a sin to miss this !! K & I

A little 'gem' in the heart of Santa Maria

Bombay is a fantastic dinning experience.....you feel like you've left one continent and swopped it for Asia!!! The decor is out of this world...every peice was ovbiously chosen with love and care!! If you want to feel the ultimate Indian experience, this is your place. My personal favouites are the cutty rolls and the Chicken Korma. The great thing that Monica (the owner) mentioned to me was that I could actually order my personal favouites to go.....which was fantastic. On my way to the beach, I just popped in, placed my order and sipped on a tasty Lassie and waited for my take away !! Well done and thanks for a great time, we've really enjoyed it!!!
