Flying Broom Women'sFestival 2012 Overview

The Flying Broom Women's Film Festival happens every year to celebrate women's contributions to film-making. It was established by Halime Güner in 1996 to raise awareness for women's human rights. The festival gives out the Bilge Olgaç Honorary Award and the Lifelong Achievement Award. It is the only women's film festival in the world to give out the Fipresci Award. 2012 will see the 15th year that the festival has run and it will showcase a number of women within the film making industry. The festival will run between the 10th and 17th of May in 2012. It is advisable to book tickets beforehand. Please check all dates and times on the official website before departing
