
	Camping Mer de Glace Overview Camping Mer de Glace is a large campsite which is open from the end of April right through until mid-October each year and offers a huge range of pitches to suit all campers, with motorhomes accepted too. Recommended for: A good choice for those wanting good local facilities (Les Praz has hotels, post office point, bar, restaurants and a minimarket), but also being very close to Chamonix centre. Camping Mer de Glace Accommodation: Camping Mer de Glace boasts over 100 pitches, ranging from hard standing to grass plots, separated by pine hedges. You can shoose full sunshine spots or somewhere more shady in the thicker forest. There are electrical and water hook up spots dotted around the site too. Camping Mer de Glace Facilities: Camping Mer de Glace offers excellent facilities for travellers with a large toilet, shower and washing block built in an alpine chalet style, as well as washing machine and dryer. There is also a welcome chalet where wifi is available. Outside there is a charming children's play area and every Tues and Thurs during the summer hols there is a pizza van. Camping Mer de Glace Location: Camping Mer de Glace is in a forest clearing area between Les Bois and the centre of Les Praz village. With the River Arve encompassing the site, there are lots of walks to be done, along with mountain biking direct from your tent. The site is at the foot of the Mer de Glace and the Drus.
