
	Gite Etape La Boerne Overview La Boerne - the name is a Savoyard word for a large fireplace used for drying goods. This refuge sleeps up to 29 and offers accommodation in an authentic 18th century mountain farmhouse. Recommended for: Anyone who likes an authentic mountain refuge experience whilst only being five minutes away from all the facilities of ski resorts and villages. It's also a great place to go and eat, with lots of bench-style tables in the garden. Gite Etape La Boerne Accommodation: Accommodation at La Boerne is in dormitory-style rooms, many of which are under the eaves of the old farm. Prices for an overnight stop are from 14 to 17,50€ bed only, whilst a half board stay is 37,90€ per person. Gite Etape La Boerne Facilities: La Boerne has limited facilities in comparison to mdoern hotels, but it has stacks of charm. Think lots of wood, nick nacks and olde worlde charm. Rooms are no ensuite. Gite Etape La Boerne Location: The Gite La Boerne is in Trelechamps. This is a small, idyllic hamlet perched on a plateau between Montroc and the col des Montets in at the far end of the Chamonix valley. It's right on the Tour Mont Blanc walking route and makes for an excellent one night stopover. It winter, you're a 5 minute drive from Le Tour/Domaine de Balme ski area and Argentiere and Les Grands Montets. You'll need a car with winter tyres or snowchains to get up the hill to the Gite in snowy weather.
