Museums in Chamonix

Visit one these museums to learn a little more about the local history in Chamonix! It has to be said Chamonix, as the home of alpinism, is steeped in history and there are loads of interesting things to discover about the area.

This section not only features the museums in the Chamonix valley, but also the excellent Fondation Gianadda museum in Martigny in neighbouring Swizterland. With a whole centre dedicated to Da Vinci, an excellent sculpture collection and visiting exhibition area, this is a must do for a taste of culture.
