Chambre 9 is a lively and very popular among locals for their great quality lunches. They serve burgers, curry's, salads, quaesadilla's, pasta, etc. But the best deal is their daily special served with a fresh salad:great value for your money. Chambre 9 has a nice, sunny terrace where you can just sit all day long..
After lunch, when the skiers come off the mountain, the place transforms into the classic après-ski place in Chamonix. Local cover band the Bilboas knows how to please the crowd which at this time is mostly made up of young Scandinavians dancing on tables and chairs. From 8pm to 10pm 2 for 1 cocktail are served.
Pour goûter à de bons plats, de la musique live et une atmosphère cool, venez et n'hésitez pas a prendre une bière ou deux au bar après ski de chamonix. Chambre 9 est un bar très populaire ou les locaux se retrouvent et ou les plats sont de bonne qualité. Après le déjeuner, lorsque les skieurs reviennent de la montagne, le lieu se transforme en un classic bar après ski de Chamonix. Le groupe local, les Bilboas savent comment faire plaisir à la foule qui à cette heure là est composée principalement de jeunes scandinaves qui dansent sur les tables. De 20h à 22h, 2 cocktails pour 1 sont servis.

March 2011 A good choice for a lunch in the middle of Chamonix

We headed to Chambre 9 the other week for Sunday lunch. It was packed with a good mix locals, tourists and all different nationalities. The menu is simple, but has something for all tastes with Mexican, Asian fusion, traditional French dishes all representing.
We opted for the 'menu du jour' which was 13,50€ for salad, steak and dessert of the day. Well-served and the homemade bread is fantastic - you're bound to ask for seconds! All in all, very well served and reasonably priced too. If you want to eat, get in there early to grab a table as they do fill up fast.

Took my 15 year old daughter here regularly during our weeks stay in Chamonix, safe and friendly with rockin good live music, snacks good value. Recently our friends stayed in the hotel above and thoroughly enjoyed it, might go with 6 friends next year.
