The wooden lodge has a real mix of Savoie and Scandinavian influences with big, rustic beams and seasonal decoration. This in combination with great boutique style furniture and accessories make for a chic and relaxed dining experience. The lounge is perfect for afternoon tea or a nice glass of wine in front of the fireplace. The dining room is open and roomy with big tables, creating a classy, warm and welcoming atmosphere. La Cabane is perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasions like weddings and corporate events.

But the decor is not what draws people to this place, it’s the food: a combination of modern, creative French cuisine and Savoyarde specialities, all prepared with fresh, local produce. Some of the highlights on the menu that the Chamonixinfo team has tried are roasted Dublin bay prawn and ceps salad with gravy juice and vegetables, a terrine of foie gras with crispy blueberry gingerbread, local snails in garlic butter, grilled scallops with mushrooms risotto and white truffle oil and the lamb cooked for seven hours with honey and thyme juice, which was just heavenly. The portions are perfectly measured, and very rich in flavours. The meat and fish is cooked to perfection with original spices, sauces and accompanying vegetables. All the food is presented in a creative and beautiful way, which adds to this upscale dining experience.

Next to the excellent food, La Cabane has a wide selection of high quality wine. The waiters all have extensive wine knowledge and are more than happy to help you select the perfect wine to accompany your meal.

All in all there is not a bad word to say about this restaurant. Food is great, service is perfect, decor is amazing and prices reasonable for what you get.
