St. Brendan's was built by Tim Severin to re-enact the legend St. Brendan's main voyage, which is believed to have reached America centuries before Christopher Columbus.

Craggaunowen is just a short drive from the picturesque village of Quin with it's ancient Abbey and local bars and restaurants for dining or even staying overnight. You are also just a 20 minute drive from the county capital of Ennis with its many hotels, bars, restaurant and shops. Ennis is a great place to base the family whilst visiting the local attractions.
