The Walls of Ston & Mali Ston

This fascinating fortification of stone walls embracing the idyllic cities of Ston and Mali Ston provide stunning views and are a true monument to beautiful medieval architecture.
The main entrance to the walls on the North side is the Fortress of Veliki Kastio (Ston) and the Fortress of Koruna on the South side (Mali Ston). Spiraling up the hill lies the renowned fortress of Bartomoleo situated in between the two towns. The great walls are Europe's longest fortress systems and are second longest in the world.
Within the walls lie the ancient Church of St.Blaise, the Bishop's Palace and a Franciscan Monastery along with residential homes and public buildings. Numerous ancient towers interconnected by massive stone walls are enough of a reason to visit this architectural masterpiece, views to die for are only an added plus.
Guided tours of the walls can be arranged. Ticket admission is 30 HRK for adults and 20 HRK for children. Group discounts are offered. The walls are open for exploring all year round.
