![]() Pachanga OverviewPachanga located on the first floor of the Hilton Jumeirah takes influences from the whole of Latin America uniting Mexican, Argentinean, Cuban and Brazilian cuisine under one roof.
The chef´s complimentary starter was a dip made in front us to our preferred level of spiciness with nachos. We chose a lovely red wine Casillero de Diablo, “cellar of the devil” which I can thoroughly recommend and chose the Churrassco for the main course, which means that a variety of meats rotating on a spit are brought to the table and carved onto your plate. Choose from fillet steak, rib eye, chicken and lamb, eat as much as you like and accompany the meats with a variety of side orders such as fresh vegetables, rice and garlic fries.
Having travelled Brazil and Portugal where this concept is popular I have to say this was more than up to scratch as the quality of meat was outstanding. We finally ended up satisfied, careful not to pass that fine line between feeling full and sick. There are of course many other meal options available, in fact a different section of the menu is dedicated to the individual Latin American country but this is certainly not a restaurant for vegetarians.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was fantastic as we were treated to some traditional Spanish guitar and singing throughout the meal that continued into our post meal cocktails in the restaurant bar, where the applause grew louder and a few samba moves may have been laid down, badly.
The prices are steep but the food, wine, atmosphere and service was worth every penny.

The meat here is top quality. The prices sting a little but it is a top restaurant. You can also take part in salsa dancing in the middle of the restaurant, if your that way inclined. Like any Brazilian steakhouse go on an empty stomach...
