The most popular place to eat is on the outside terrace, but its popular so make sure you book ahead. The beverage menu is a delight in itself, and we would definitely go back just for another Deli Devil - gin, passionfruit, ginger ale and lemon = delicious !
We started our meal with Jheenga Shan e Nisha which are Jumbo Prawns marinated with yoghurt and cheese flavoured with cardamom (Dhs 79). This was enough for two people as we were presented with six large prawns delicately spiced and seasoned resulting in a unique dish. This was followed by a chicken jhalfrezi and a mutton korma (Dhs 52 each). The food was superb and the portions are very generous. The menu has a wide range of traditional dishes with an entire page dedicated to vegetarian meals of which we ordered Saleem's Dal Makhni - classic black lentils cooked overnight with tomatos, cream and clarified butter (Dhs 40). All absolutely delicious; best described as an assault on the senses !
The atmosphere is tranquil and makes for a very pleasant dining experience. The restaurant is also family friendly with a children's play area inside.
This restaurant has been one of our personal favourites in Dubai and it still is ! |
