The Boardwalk Overview

Located at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and with a tremendous location perched above the Creek, “Whatever the time, whatever the occasion” is a fitting strap line for The Boardwalk restaurant.

With its unique position, The Boardwalk offers a calm and relaxing way to soothe the day away with friends, family or colleagues whilst enjoying the Creek scenery and savouring the dishes from its straightforward international menu.

The Boardwalk accommodates both dining inside and out, although it is truly the ambience of the outdoor decks that hold this venue as one of the favourites for Dubai residents and visitors alike. Dependant on which side you are seated, you are treated to some wonderful views that on the one side take in the beautiful Park Hyatt Hotel and marina as well as the Creekside Park across the water, or for some extra interest, the intriguing 6th tee of the adjoining golf course - also on a platform above the Creek.

Seated under the large parasol sunshades, which nicely provide protection from the sun and the interested seagulls, we tucked into a lunch comprising starters of delicious Thai roast beef salad and a crunchy fresh Caesar salad, this was followed by an unimaginative choice of fish and chip and washed down with a couple of glasses of Lindemans Sauvignon Blanc and a bottle of San Pelegrino sparkling water.

In closing, the menu selection is good with great value starters, main courses and deserts. The food is tasty but not special and the service is prompt and efficient but lacks a more friendly attention from the on hand waiters. Overall, the reasonable cost combined with the setting and ambience provides for a great lunch or early evening meal and drinks venue rather than a place to visit for a gastronomic delight.
