The Noodle House is situated in Emirate Towers, Jumeirah and draws its culinary inspiration from the crowded streets of South-East Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bangkok and Jakarta. Here, diners feel relaxed in the cheery, communal buzz that is typical of a street stall selling popular food enjoyed by tourists and business people alike. In keeping with the unpretentious, streetwise ambience, diners are given an order pad and simply tick their favourite dishes before handing it back to the server.
The Noodle House manages to effectively bridge the gap between affordable fast food and fine dining by producing an extremely stylish restaurant with friendly servers who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu. Chefs whip up aromatic dishes within minutes over an open flame, in full view of guests who, seated at long communal tables, have an opportunity to talk to complete strangers.
The extensive menu includes crispy salt and pepper calamari, wasabi prawns and chicken satay with spicy peanut sauce for appetisers, a selection of dim sum and house specialties including Thai green chili with chicken or vegetables, black pepper beef tenderloin, wok-fried vegetables with tofu and black bean and Singapore-style roasted duck with hoisin sauce. Side dishes include classic Chinese prawn crackers and steamed broccoli with soy and garlic.
