Located in the magnificent and sophisticated Royal Palm Hotel, DISH restaurant in Umhlanga, Durban, offers patrons a meal extravaganza creating an absolute masterpiece of culinary delights. DISH provides guests with a "soulful meal experience" where a variety of flavours, textures and colours seduce the taste buds and keep them salivating for more. DISH presents four unique concepts under one roof: coming together to create a setting able to offer something for everyone. A chic, casual lounge area presents a host of seating arrangements conducive to lengthy conversations and warm soothing drinks. The circular bar provides a social arrangement that is a first for design with four seating arc's expertly positioned to allow for private chatter among friends whilst still remaining part of the vibrant restaurant. The dining area which seats 64 guests presents contemporary elegance and sophistication, while the Chef's table which seats eight guests allows for interaction and participation for an exciting slant on an already outstanding experience. Finally, the outdoor courtyard invites diners to enjoy a cosmopolitan cafe ambience where al-fresco dining is the order of the day.

The decor at DISH presents an array of individually sourced pieces creating an elegant environment where the focus is on the food and the venue lends itslef to ensuring all diner's needs are met. A colour scheme of cream and black creates a simple yet classic setting and an array of hand crafted artifacts compliment the restaurant.

The menu at DISH teems with an array of flavours and textures to seduce the soul. Classic dishes married with extravagant and often hardly used ingredients combine to create dishes where aroma and taste alike will satisfy even the hardest judge. Featuring a collection of the chefs favourite meals, the menu reflects his passion for food and ability to enhance recipes creating simple, elegant food.

Following through with the classic setting and focus on "the patron's experience", PRIVATE @ DISH is the latest addition to the restaurants offering. A private functions venue located within the same building, PRIVATE @ DISH is able to cater for up to one hundred guests and offers an intimate venue for conferences, parties or meetings. The dedicated team of co-ordinators ensures the seamless running of each event and will cater to a variety of configurations and needs. An eclectic collection of art and the same classic, elegant decor from DISH is reflected throughout the venue and adds to the refined surroundings.
