J'adore Ile Maurice....

Dining at Ile Maurice with the ever charming Robert as host, can only be described as special. Having Mauritian parents, I absolutely yearn for their typical dishes like "vindaye", black lentils and of course all the seafood! An absolute must for all foodies!

Best in Town

Without doubt, if it's a special occasion or you just want the best fine dining in town, this is where you go. The Crab Soup starter or the seafood medley with Bechamel gratin is my faves and for main course, Beef en croute -which I can't go past. Safe parking, outside terrace is the nicest place to eat. If in Umhlanga don't leave without trying it at least once - you will go back!

My favourite in Durbs

You get a kick just securing a table at Ile Maurice, I go for a veranda table on a hot summers evening overlooking the sea, with good background French music, excelent food the best wines and for sure beautiful company. What an evening. Yep, The best in town..
