The Pottery Gallery Overview

The Pottery Gallery in Ballito is an arts and crafts centre that showcases some of KwaZulu Natal’s finest creative talent. This Durban arts and crafts shop is located on a pristine farm in the Ballito area, surrounded by the beauty of nature and unspoiled KwaZulu-Natal environment. Pigs, donkeys, tabby cats and abundant birdlife make themselves ever-present on the premises of The Pottery Gallery, creating an area of absolute calm and serenity.

A small coffee shop at The Pottery Gallery allows patrons to completely relax and unwind while absorbing the artistic flair that surrounds them. For parents with children there is an animal farm to keep children occupied while their parents browse through the collection of pottery and arts and crafts in the shop. The art gallery is located just off the highway that runs up the North Coast, a perfect location for travellers and passers by who want a break from the road and the chance to stretch their legs and experience some African culture.

The fresh air clearly enhances the creative spirit, as one can see from the wide arrangement of art available for sale. The owner Michelle, originally started her Durban arts and crafts business on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal near Port Edward, and then moved her ideas and talents further up the coast to the busier area of Ballito. The Pottery Gallery was founded from one woman’s passion for pottery and clay art formation, infused with her intuitive business intellect. The Pottery Gallery has become a popular destination for arts and crafts lovers, as well as for those wanting to step away from the fast paced adventures of everyday life to get some fresh air.
