Quito Tour Bus

These double-decker buses take you through and around the magnificent capital city of Ecuador; a city full of legends, culture, and traditions.

The route starts at the Naciones Unidas Boulevard, in the commercial and financial area of the city, and covers the most important touristic sites of Quito, including the colonial downtown and the Teleferico - all in an approximately three-hour drive. The buses have an audio-guide system in Spanish, English, German and French.

This is the smartest way to do a tour of Quito, with a hop-on-hop-off system which allows you to purchase a day pass and get on and off any of the buses at any of the 12 (10 on Sundays) predetermined stops within a day. There are eight hourly day-departures from Monday to Sunday. A one-stop (at La Ronda) night tour is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays, starting at the Naciones Unidas Boulevard.

Extra tours are available, like the Saturday 'Heritage Nights' where a specific attraction of the city is visited, also a full-day tour that includes a guided walk in the historic center, and a tour to the Middle of the World area just outside the city.

Special programmes are organized on specific dates such as the Quito festivities in December or for Holy Week; information on those is available on the website and at the ticket selling points. Private tours for special events can also be arranged by request.

Day passes are $12 for adults, $6 for children and seniors. Other tours have each a different price.
