The Hotel has also won the 'Best Large Hotel Category' in the Essex Tourism Awards and it's restaurant, The County Kitchen, is a holder of a prestigious AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence.

50 comfortably designed bedrooms. With a range of doubles, twins and single rooms, all with Flat Screen TV, WI-FI internet, trouser press, direct dial telephones, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits in all rooms. As part of our major refurbishment project in 2009 we now have a stunning Suite with a total of 16 Superior and Premium Rooms at standards that you would expect from a 4 Star quality hotel.

County Hotel Restaurants & Bars

The County Kitchen recently won an AA Rosette. The restaurant's Chefs produce an extensive 'A la Carte' menu based on classic British food in a modern style. They use only the best of British seasonal ingredients which are sourced at peak sourcing periods and based on value for money. The kicthen also make their own breads, pasta and ice cream. Not to mention the scones, which you can enjoy with indulgent clotted cream!.

The Lounge at The County Hotel offers a relaxing and informal meeting area for a business meet or just a lunch time coffee.

Situated just to the left of the Hotel's reception area the Lounge is also ideal as a meeting point if you catching up with other guests who are staying at The County.

Whether for conferences, weddings or large private parties The County can provide you with excellent Banqueting facilities.

There are five meeting rooms room 2 to 150, all with natural daylight and some with disabled access on the ground floor.

There is a large car park at the back of the hotel.
