Where to Park when in Florence?
Fines for violations are high. Towing and Wheel Clamps common. As a result, it is best to leave your car in a guarded parking area.
This is a list of the car parks around the center with details of opening hours and fees, you can see their locations on the map below.
Parking Lots signs are designed with a white 'P' on a blue base. Space availability is advised on lit panels outside of the parking lot.
Ticket Machines allow the Parking Lots to be open 24Hrs: a ticket is printed at the moment you enter the parking lot, bring it with you and pay at the counter, or ticket machines, before returning to the car.
PARCHEGGIO means Parking Lot.

STREET PARKING with TICKET MACHINES - BLUE LINES
There are many areas all around town where you can park, just make sure the car is parked within BLUE LINES, pay before you leave at the TICKET MACHINES for the time you intend to park (Machines do not accept small change of 1, 2 or 5 cents). Leave the printed ticket with the time inside the car, on the dashboard, visible for Urban Police to check.
- Do NOT PARK inside White Lines, as those are reserved for RESIDENTS only and you can get fined.
- Do NOT PARK inside Orange Lines, as those are reserved for DISABLED drivers and you can get heavily fined.
- Do NOT PARK inside Yellow Lines at Bus Stops, as those as reserved for Busses and your car can be towed away and fined.
